Organizations surveyed in 2009 should have seen a timelier posting of their survey report to the Joint Commission extranet. Just as other changes came forth as a result of the Joint Commission reapplying for deemed status from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the requirement for a 10-day turnaround time was levied. This seems only fair; after all, organizations seeking accreditation have strict time frames to abide by, so why shouldn’t The Joint Commission?
