Speakers

  Lisa Eddy, RN, CPHQ, CSHA, is a senior consultant for The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Marblehead, MA. With more than 18 years of healthcare management and leadership experience, she applies her management and nursing experiences with medical facilities and staffs to develop solutions to their toughest problems. Eddy has particular expertise in Joint Commission and AOA accreditation and CMS surveys.
   
  Gayla J. Jackson, RN, BSN, has been a nurse manager for more than 20 years at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, and is an AHAP advisory board member. She has served on Mt. Auburn’s communication of critical results team and is a member of the hospital’s medical safety steering committee and its medication reliability task force.
   
Claude (Bud) Pate, REHS Practice Director, Clinical Operations Improvement and West Coast Operations

Claude (Bud) Pate, REHS, serves as vice president for content and development at The Greeley Company. He is a nationally recognized expert in patient flow and in hospital and health system regulation and accreditation with over 25 years experience in high profile problem solving. His patient flow work brings him to institutions and podiums across the country to solve one of healthcare's most daunting challenges: how to reliably and consistently bring patients into contact with emergency providers and how to quickly find an inpatient bed for admitted patients. In the regulatory world, he has an unmatched track record for consultation under fire, helping institutions avoid adverse accreditation and certification actions while simplifying the challenge of ongoing compliance.

   

Jean S. Clark, RHIA, CSHA, is director of health information services at Roper Saint Francis Healthcare in Charleston, SC, and is an AHAP advisory board member. She has served on The Joint Commission standards review task force and has been on the expert panel for its information management chapter, which resulted in sweeping changes for the accreditation process that began in January 2004.

   
Jodi L. Eisenberg, MHA, CPHQ, CPMSM, CSHA, is the program manager for accreditation and clinical compliance at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and is the chair of the AHAP advisory board. She has more than 16 years of experience in healthcare administration. In her current role, she is responsible for leading a full range of The Joint Commission’s and other accreditation and regulatory compliance activities to promote a state of constant survey readiness.
   
  Patricia Pejakovich, RN, BSN, MPA, CPHQ, CSHA, is a senior consultant for The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Marblehead, MA. She has over 25 years of management experience to her work with healthcare organizations across the nation and applies leadership and nursing experiences to help hospitals and medical staffs develop solutions to their toughest problems. She has a particular expertise in accreditation standards and regulatory compliance.
   
  WendySue Woods, RN, MHSA, CSHA, is a senior consultant for The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Marblehead, MA. She brings over 15 years of healthcare experience to her work with hospitals and healthcare centers across the nation and applies her administrative and nursing experiences to help medical facilities and staffs develop solutions to their toughest problems. She has particular expertise in accreditation standards, regulatory/risk management compliance, and process improvement strategies.
   
  Ken Rohde is a senior consultant for The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc. in Marblehead, MA. He has over 25 years of experience in quality management and he instructs, speaks, and consults in the areas of error reduction strategies, root cause analysis, improving performance through process simplification, error reduction through effective procedure writing, apparent cause analysis, engineering effectiveness and error reduction, failure modes and effects analysis, effective data collection, analysis and trending, patient safety evaluation and improvement, change management, corrective action program evaluation and redesign, human performance evaluations, and procedure error reduction.
   
Sharon Chaput, RN, CSHA, is the director of regulatory and quality management at Brattleboro Retreat in Brattleboro, VT. She is an AHAP member, as well as a member of the advisory board that helped create the Certified Specialist in Healthcare Accreditation certification program.
   
  Robert J. Marder, MD, CMSL, is vice president of The Greeley Company a division of HCPro, Inc. in Marblehead, MA. He works with hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the country in the areas of medical staff peer review, hospital performance improvement, patient safety/error reduction, and case management.
   
  Jonathan H. Burroughs, MD, MBA, FACPE, CMSL, is a senior consultant with The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc. in Marblehead, MA, and works with medical staffs throughout the country in the areas of governance, credentialing, privileging, peer review, performance improvement, medical staff development planning, and behavioral/ Polarity Management™. He is medical director of the emergency department, a member of the executive committee of the board of trustees, and a past president of the medical staff at Memorial Hospital, a small community-based healthcare system located in the heart of the White Mountains in North Conway, NH.
